Bitcoin Tightening Between $112K-$118K as Fed Speeches & PCE Inflation Loom

Bitcoin is currently consolidating in a narrow range between roughly $112,000 and $118,000 ahead of crucial U.S. inflation data (PCE index) and multiple Federal Reserve officials’ remarks — setting the stage for significant volatility.

Bitcoin is trading in a compressed range, with support around $112,000-$114,000 and resistance near $117,200-$118,000, as traders brace for U.S. macroeconomic catalysts. The market is focusing intensely on Friday’s PCE inflation report — the Fed’s preferred inflation gauge — and speeches from several Fed officials that could shape rate cut expectations. 

Despite declining volatility recently, the range has held firm, and many are speculating that a breakout above $117,200 could ignite renewed upward momentum, while failure at resistance could trigger a pullback to lower support zones. 

Support at the lower end has so far remained intact, with repeated retests but no major breakdown—this has preserved cautious optimism among many traders. Meanwhile, institutional interest remains under watch, and inflows from spot crypto ETFs seem tied to regulatory shifts smoothing listing processes. 

Macro concerns, especially inflation sticking higher than expected, could test the strength of resistance. The strength of the U.S. dollar, upcoming Fed commentary, and risk sentiment globally may tip scales. Many analysts suggest that the next few days will provide clear signals.
