Ethereum has surged past $4,500 — its highest level this year — powered by massive ETF inflows and aggressive buying by institutional treasury holders. This surge reflects growing investor confidence and shrinking ETH supply.

Ethereum (ETH) is trading above $4,500 — the highest level it has seen all year — buoyed by a wave of institutional ETF inflows and accelerated acquisitions by treasury-focused firms. This rally is underpinned by unprecedented demand from institutional investors fueling markets.

ETFs have unleashed a surge of liquidity into ETH, with major funds like BlackRock, Fidelity, and Grayscale leading the charge. Combined, they purchased a staggering $1 billion in Ethereum yesterday. BlackRock accounted for $640 million of that total, followed by Fidelity’s $270 million and Grayscale’s $80 million, marking one of the largest institutional accumulation events since Ethereum ETF launches

The buying momentum didn’t stop there. Whale investors and Ethereum treasury entities are also aggressively accumulating. Notable transactions include two whale accounts that acquired $137.8 million and $82.9 million worth of ETH through OTC channels, while companies like SharpLink Gaming bolstered holdings to over 604,000 ETH — approximately $2.7 billion in value.

These developments come amidst tightening supply. ETH held on exchanges has plummeted, even as network activity soars — record-breaking daily activity levels further reinforce bullish sentiment.
