Bitcoin Suisse Says Up to 60 Swiss Jobs Could Be Affected by Restructuring

Bitcoin Suisse said up to 60 of its 120 positions in Switzerland could be affected by a restructuring tied to its international expansion plans.

The company expects to consolidate software-development and back-office capabilities in international hubs, including Bratislava and a planned location in Vietnam. The potential Swiss job impact has not been finalized.

An employee consultation process is due to continue through September 20, 2026. Bitcoin Suisse said the outcome of that process will determine the final number of affected positions.

Potential workforce reduction remains under consultation

The proposed restructuring could affect as many as half of Bitcoin Suisse’s Swiss workforce. However, the company has not set a final figure while the employee consultation process is ongoing.

This distinction is material: up to 60 roles may be affected, but the final number will depend on the consultation outcome. The announcement therefore describes a proposed workforce change rather than a completed reduction.

Development and back-office functions targeted for consolidation

Bitcoin Suisse said software-development and back-office functions will increasingly be consolidated in international hubs. Bratislava was identified as one of those hubs, alongside a planned location in Vietnam.

The move would shift parts of the company’s operating footprint outside Switzerland. The available information does not specify which individual roles, teams, or functions will ultimately be affected.

Expansion strategy provides the stated context

Bitcoin Suisse has linked the restructuring to its wider international expansion and wealth-management strategy. The company previously described global expansion as a strategic priority.
