Kraken lists Frankencoin (ZCHF) for trading

Kraken has announced that Frankencoin (ZCHF) is available for trading on its platform. Funding and trading went live on October 8, 2026.

Kraken identifies ZCHF as a decentralized, over-collateralized stablecoin designed to track the Swiss franc. The listing adds a Swiss-franc-tracking asset to the exchange’s available markets.

Availability through the Kraken app and Instant Buy depends on sufficient liquidity, according to the exchange. Geographic restrictions may also apply, meaning access can vary by location.

ZCHF trading goes live on Kraken

The exchange said ZCHF funding and trading are live. Kraken’s announcement does not provide further details in the available evidence on trading pairs, deposit requirements, or supported networks.

The rollout follows other recent asset additions on the platform, including Kraken Enables Trading for Concrete (CT) and OUSD Funding and Trading Go Live on Kraken.

Kraken describes Frankencoin as a decentralized and over-collateralized stablecoin designed to follow the value of the Swiss franc. A stablecoin designed to track a national currency may be intended to provide a crypto-native unit of account tied to that currency, but its market availability and use on Kraken remain subject to the exchange’s stated conditions.

The exchange’s description should not be read as a guarantee that ZCHF will maintain any particular price level. Kraken’s announcement specifically frames the asset as designed to track the Swiss franc.

App access and regional availability

Kraken said trading in its app and through Instant Buy is conditional on liquidity being sufficient. Users may therefore see different availability across Kraken’s services.
