Kraken launches Pre-IPO Challenge for OURAx and MOONSHOTx perpetuals

Kraken has launched its Pre-IPO Challenge on Kraken Pro, a trading competition tied to the OURAx and MOONSHOTx perpetual contracts. The campaign runs from October 6, 2026, through November 6, 2026.

Eligible participants must enroll before trading to take part. Rankings will be based on combined qualifying trading volume across the two designated perpetual contracts.

The competition offers a total prize pool of $10,000 USDG. Participants need at least $10,000 in qualifying volume to be eligible for prizes, which are determined by final rank.

Eligible contracts and ranking method

The competition covers the OURAx Perp, identified as PF_OURAXUSD, and the MOONSHOTx Perp, identified as PF_MOONSHOTXUSD. Kraken will rank participants according to their combined qualifying trading volume in these products.

The promotion is separate from a prior Kraken process concerning interest in an Ōura IPO through xStocks. The challenge itself concerns perpetual-contract trading rather than an equity offering.

Perpetuals do not provide share ownership

Kraken states that the OURAx and MOONSHOTx perpetuals provide price exposure only. Trading either contract does not give a user ownership of Oura or Moonshot shares, nor does it provide an allocation in a potential IPO.

That distinction is material for participants assessing the products: eligibility and ranking in the competition are based on qualifying perpetuals trading volume, not on acquiring an interest in either company.

Regional eligibility restrictions

The Pre-IPO Challenge is not available to customers residing in the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand. Users should review the promotion’s official rules and confirm their eligibility before enrolling or trading.

The campaign follows other Kraken promotional activity, including the exchange’s Halloween sweepstakes with a SOL-denominated prize pool, but has its own contract and residence-based eligibility conditions.
