Trueo plans migration of prediction market from Base to Ethereum mainnet

Trueo has announced plans to move its prediction-market platform from Base to Ethereum mainnet. The proposed transition would shift the platform’s core liquidity and settlement functions to Ethereum.

The project launched on Base in March 2025. Trueo described Base as a suitable environment for its earlier experimental phase, but said Ethereum now offers broader integration potential and greater product upside.

The migration remains forthcoming, rather than completed. Trueo said existing Base markets are expected to continue operating during the transition.

A planned shift, not a completed migration

Reports describing Trueo as already having migrated go beyond the status supported by the project’s announcement. Trueo has outlined a plan to deploy on Ethereum mainnet and move core liquidity and settlement from Base, but the available information does not confirm that the process has been completed.

The distinction matters for users and market participants: Base markets are expected to remain operational. Trueo also advised against creating Base markets with expiration dates after January 31, 2027.

Why Trueo is targeting Ethereum

Trueo cited Ethereum’s broader integration potential and product upside in explaining the planned move. The project framed the decision as a progression from its Base launch rather than a rejection of the network’s role during Trueo’s initial phase.

Liquidity and oracle development are next priorities

Following the migration, Trueo said it intends to prioritize liquidity growth and the development of a next-generation oracle system. Those areas are central to a prediction-market platform, where markets require usable depth and settlement depends on oracle design.

Trueo has described its intended system as permissionless. The forthcoming deployment will show how the project implements that approach on Ethereum mainnet while maintaining its existing Base markets.

The move comes as Ethereum’s testing and upgrade work continues, including the Ethereum Sets October 6 Sepolia Test for Glamsterdam milestone.
