“The leaked email addresses have now been fully publicized after multiple disseminations. Please be aware of the risks associated with phishing emails and other potential cyberattacks.”

The exposed data includes high-profile individuals, with screenshots revealing the inclusion of former Binance CEO CZ’s email address.

Phishing Threats on the Rise

This exposure comes at a time when phishing attacks have surged across the crypto space. In 2024 alone, these attacks resulted in losses of approximately $500 million, affecting over 330,000 addresses. The latest leak significantly raises the stakes, as malicious actors may use these email addresses to craft targeted attacks against OpenSea users, including those holding high-value NFTs.

Notably, phishing tactics are becoming more sophisticated. Recent incidents, such as unauthorized access to Litecoin’s official X account for posting fraudulent token content, underscore the increasing creativity and aggression of cybercriminals.
