Tron $1.4B Profit Wave Signals Calm Before the Storm?
Tron (TRX) just posted its second-largest realized profit day in 2025, totaling $1.4 billion. Surprisingly, the price remains stable—suggesting strength, not fear.
On-chain data confirms that Tron (TRX) has just experienced one of its most significant profit-taking events of the year. Within the past 24 hours alone, TRX saw approximately $1.4 billion in realized profits—marking the second-highest daily figure for 2025.
This “realized profit” is calculated by comparing the current sale price of tokens against the price they were last moved at. Whenever that number shows a profit, it’s recorded as such. Notably, Tron’s realized losses remain minimal, indicating that this major wave of profit-taking isn’t rooted in panic selling or capitulation behavior.

According to Glassnode, the primary group behind this massive sell-off consists of wallets that have held TRX for three to five years—investors likely dating back to the 2020–2021 bull market. These long-term holders appear to be strategically exiting while prices remain elevated.
The TRX network has been registering close to $1 billion in realized profits daily since Saturday, making this the most prolonged stretch of large-scale profit-taking seen in months. Analysts suggest this could indicate a potential shift in sentiment, as older coins moving to market during strength often precede cooling-off periods.
Yet, despite the heavy selling pressure, Tron’s price has remained remarkably stable. TRX is still hovering near $0.33, outperforming many top-tier cryptocurrencies during the broader market downturn. This ongoing strength suggests that Tron’s market base is absorbing sell pressure efficiently, at least for now.
