TON Launches $400 Million Buyback & Staking Program to Reignite Network Momentum

The Open Network (TON) has unveiled a massive $400 million buyback and on-chain staking initiative to revitalize market confidence and reduce circulating supply as part of its long-term token stability plan.

In a bold move to counter recent price volatility, the TON Strategy division announced a $400 million program to buy back TON tokens from the open market while initiating staking contracts through verified validators. The plan aims to absorb excess liquidity and generate sustainable on-chain revenue streams for the ecosystem.

According to the official statement posted on X, the initiative will be executed over the next six months and includes revenue-sharing incentives for community validators. Developers will also receive a portion of the staking yields as a grant for network expansion.

Market analysts have interpreted the move as a sign that TON intends to position itself as a stable, utility-focused Layer-1 solution with direct on-chain monetization models. The token’s price initially jumped 8 % after the announcement before settling near $6.45.

Community reaction on social media was overwhelmingly positive, with many users calling the program “a long-overdue signal of institutional maturity within TON.” Others suggested it could trigger a short-term supply squeeze if buybacks accelerate ahead of Q4.
