Intimidation at TON Hackathon: How Corruption Turned Innovation Into Fear

What was meant to be a collaborative hackathon turned into a scene of intimidation as TON Society leaders allegedly targeted CATS founder Maks Twain.
The TON Society Hackathon in Warsaw has become synonymous with corruption and intimidation following allegations made by CATS founder Maks Twain. According to Maks, the event was marred by hired guards who were instructed to prevent his entry. When they failed to stop him at the door, the situation escalated into a physical attack during the event itself.

Maks described the atmosphere as tense, with guards scanning the room and associates of Eugene Anisei acting nervously. “They weren’t there for security,” Maks stated. “They were there to intimidate and silence anyone who dared to challenge the status quo.”
The attack occurred as Maks was networking with fellow participants. The guards approached him aggressively, forcing him to use pepper spray in self-defense. Despite the chaotic scene, no action was taken by event organizers, raising questions about their complicity in the incident.
The scandal has cast a shadow over the TON Society, with many community members now questioning its leadership and commitment to transparency. The hackathon, intended to foster innovation, has instead highlighted the darker side of the ecosystem.
