This milestone outperformed previous benchmarks, such as Base’s 79.9 TPS, marking a new peak for Layer 2 scalability on the Ethereum network.

On a single day, Starknet successfully processed 11 million transactions, underscoring its significant transaction-handling capabilities. This record-breaking test was a collaborative effort among StarkWare, the Starknet Foundation, and onchain gaming developer Cartridge. The test featured Flippyflop, a fast-paced tile game in which users competed against bots, pushing Starknet’s transaction processing to its limits. Cartridge’s gaming stack was also integral to the test, utilizing tools like session tokens and Paymaster for streamlined onboarding and enhanced user experience, especially under the heavy transaction loads that Flippyflop generated.
