Trump ‘America First’ NFT Collection Hits $2 Million in Sales, But Faces Slow Market Response”

Donald Trump latest NFT collection, “America First Collection,” has garnered $2.17 million in its first day, selling 23,000 units. However, the collection performance is slower compared to previous releases, possibly due to resale restrictions.

Former President Donald Trump newest non-fungible token (NFT) series, titled the “America First Collection,” has achieved $2.17 million in sales within the first 24 hours of its release. The collection, which was announced on August 21, consists of 23,000 NFTs priced at $99 each. Despite the initial success, the collection is underperforming compared to Trump’s previous NFT series.

The “America First Collection” features a total supply of 360,000 NFTs, with the potential to generate over $35 million if fully sold. However, the slower market performance has raised questions about the collection’s long-term appeal. One contributing factor to the sluggish sales could be the imposed restrictions on reselling the NFTs on secondary markets until January 31, 2025.

In addition to the NFT launch, Trump has also incorporated cryptocurrency into his ongoing presidential campaign. The Republican candidate has been vocal about his support for the crypto industry, promising to make America the “Crypto Capital of the Planet” if elected. His campaign has even begun accepting cryptocurrency donations.

While the collection official website insists that the NFTs are not politically motivated, the design of the “America First Collection” features Trump in a Captain America-inspired suit, complete with boxing gloves bearing the American flag. Buyers of the NFTs are also promised special incentives, such as a gala dinner with Trump, a piece of the suit he wore during a recent debate, and golden Trump-branded sneakers.
