SEC Amended Suit Targets Justin Sun US Presence

The SEC strengthens its lawsuit against Tron Justin Sun, citing his extensive travel to the US as grounds for jurisdiction.
In an amended complaint, the SEC alleges Sun numerous trips to the US between 2017 and 2019, totaling over 380 days, were business-related, focusing on cities like New York, Boston, and San Francisco. These trips, purportedly made on behalf of Tron Foundation, BitTorrent Foundation, and Rainberry, are seen as pivotal in establishing jurisdiction.
The SEC reiterates accusations of unregistered securities sales and manipulative trading, pointing to Tron (TRX) and BitTorrent (BTT) tokens. It claims these tokens were actively promoted and sold to US consumers, with Sun alleged wash trades occurring on Bittrex, a Seattle-based exchange.

Despite Sun attempt to dismiss the suit, arguing foreign jurisdiction and token sales conducted overseas, the SEC maintains its stance, asserting its authority over the matter. Sun legal team has yet to respond to the latest developments.
