Pi Network Users Urged to Complete Mainnet Migration Steps Before Deadline

Pi Network users must complete KYC, wallet setup, and token agreements before the November 30 deadline to ensure access to their tokens. The open mainnet roadmap is expected to be unveiled in December.
Pi Network Mainnet Migration: Key Steps and Deadlines
Pi Network, a unique cryptocurrency project enabling mining via smartphones, continues its journey toward launching its native token and open mainnet. Despite over five years of development, these major milestones remain pending, with new updates providing clarity and raising mixed reactions within the community.

Critical Steps for Mainnet Migration
The Pi Core Team recently reminded users that completing Know-Your-Customer (KYC) procedures is only one part of the process to migrate to the mainnet. Users must also:
- Set up and verify their wallets.
- Sign the token confirmation agreement.
- Complete all other tasks listed in the mainnet migration checklist.
The team emphasized that these steps can be completed before KYC verification, urging users not to wait. Failure to meet the November 30 deadline risks the abandonment of Pi tokens, rendering them unusable.
Progress Toward Mainnet Launch
Earlier this year, the team set a goal to launch the Open Network once 15 million users completed KYC. Social media updates from Pi News suggest the target is nearing completion, with only 1 million users left to pass verification.
The Core Team reiterated the importance of timely migration, stating:
“Complete the migration within the grace period to ensure access to your Pi tokens. Any delays could result in forfeiting access.”
December Roadmap Announcement

Amid the ongoing preparations, the Pi Core Team has confirmed plans to reveal the open mainnet roadmap in December 2024. This roadmap is expected to enable official Pi token transactions, marking a significant step forward for the project.
While the announcement generated excitement among some users, others expressed frustration over perceived delays. In August, PiBridge, a DeFi platform linking Pi Network with other blockchains, hosted a talk show that failed to provide updates on the launch timeline, contributing to community skepticism.
The Path Forward
The Pi Network’s promise of enabling everyday smartphone users to mine cryptocurrency has drawn millions of users worldwide. However, the project’s lengthy development timeline and ongoing delays have raised concerns about its execution.
With the roadmap announcement just weeks away, the community remains hopeful that December will bring the clarity and progress needed to realize the Pi Network’s full potential.
