Charles Hoskinson Denies Satoshi Claims Again: “I Am Not the Creator of Bitcoin”

Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson once again denies rumors linking him to Satoshi Nakamoto, reaffirming he had no part in creating Bitcoin.

Charles Hoskinson, the visionary behind Cardano and co-founder of Ethereum, has once again been forced to address one of crypto’s most persistent conspiracy theories: that he is, in fact, the elusive Bitcoin creator, Satoshi Nakamoto. Speaking out firmly, Hoskinson reiterated that he had absolutely no role in the creation of Bitcoin, nor has he ever claimed any association with Satoshi.

Despite previous denials and a timeline that clearly contradicts the theory, a faction of the cryptocurrency community continues to speculate about Hoskinson’s possible connection to the anonymous founder of the world’s first cryptocurrency. The latest round of speculation was reignited by a recent post allegedly made by Satoshi himself, which coincidentally referenced Hoskinson—prompting the Cardano founder to speak out once more.

Hoskinson’s background in mathematics, cryptography, and his influential role in the development of decentralized technologies have made him a natural target for theories surrounding Satoshi’s identity. His articulate communication style, early involvement in blockchain innovation, and leadership in founding Ethereum and later Cardano have only fueled curiosity and speculation.

However, there’s a glaring timeline discrepancy: Bitcoin’s whitepaper was published in 2008, and its network went live in 2009—at a time when Hoskinson was still pursuing his academic education and had no known ties to cryptocurrency. His public emergence in the crypto space didn’t occur until years later, long after Bitcoin was already operational.

Other popular Satoshi candidates throughout the years have included Hal Finney, a pioneering cryptographer and the recipient of Bitcoin’s first transaction; Nick Szabo, known for his work on smart contracts and Bit Gold; and Dorian Nakamoto, whose connection to the pseudonym was purely coincidental.

Regardless of repeated clarifications, the mystery of who truly created Bitcoin continues to captivate the crypto community and broader tech world. For Hoskinson, however, the answer remains crystal clear: he is not, and has never been, Satoshi Nakamoto.
