Despite hawkish remarks from U.S. Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell, Bitcoin has held steady above $112,000 — a surprising show of strength amid tightening liquidity.

Bitcoin resilience continues to puzzle traditional economists. Last week, Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell reaffirmed the U.S. commitment to quantitative tightening (QT) — draining liquidity from financial markets. Normally, that would weaken risk assets. Instead, Bitcoin shrugged it off.

BTC’s limited drawdown during the announcement suggests a major shift in market psychology. According to Glassnode data, exchange outflows reached a 6-month high, signaling that long-term holders are buying the dip and moving coins to cold storage.

This divergence highlights how Bitcoin is slowly decoupling from macroeconomic fragility. Hedge funds, family offices, and Asian market participants have been rotating into BTC as a hedge against central-bank volatility.

Meanwhile, network data from CoinMetrics shows an uptick in active addresses, reflecting retail re-entry after the October sell-off. Traders on X point to “smart demand pockets” forming between $110k and $115k — a region now seen as psychological support.

If Bitcoin sustains this level into November, analysts predict the next upside target could be $130K, pending ETF inflows and positive global risk sentiment.
