Kraken Enables USDT0 Deposits and Withdrawals on Stellar

Kraken announced on September 4, 2026, that USDT0 deposits and withdrawals are now available through the Stellar network.

The exchange said the addition gives customers another network option for moving USDT0. Kraken states that transfers on Stellar settle in roughly five seconds and typically carry network fees of a fraction of a cent.

USDT0 is also live on Stellar, according to announcements from Kraken and the Stellar Development Foundation. The token uses LayerZero’s Omnichain Fungible Token standard and has unified 1:1 backing by USDT, the announcements state.

New Stellar network option for USDT0

The rollout covers both deposits to Kraken and withdrawals from the exchange using Stellar. Users sending USDT0 should ensure they select the Stellar network when making a transfer.

The update is part of Kraken’s continuing product activity, following its work on the kHYPE wrapped token for DeFi applications on Ink.

Trading availability remains conditional

Kraken said trading through its app and Instant Buy service remains subject to sufficient liquidity. Geographic restrictions may also apply.

The exchange did not state in the announcement that app trading or Instant Buy would be available in every jurisdiction. Customers should therefore check the options presented in their Kraken account before attempting a transaction.

What the announcement establishes

The confirmed change is the availability of USDT0 transfers on Stellar at Kraken. Kraken’s settlement-time and fee statements describe the network characteristics cited in its announcement, rather than a guarantee for every individual transfer.

The development comes as Kraken continues to make operational and market-expansion decisions, including plans connected to a potential India re-entry amid rising law-enforcement requests.
